An Introduction to Somatics

In this live, 75-minute class, I introduce you to the world of somatics. Somatics is a field of study and practice focusing on the “soma,” which is how we experience the body from within.
I’ll be providing somatic exercises and teachings that support your capacity to be more present, more resourced, and more resilient. We’ll be tenderly exploring our own nervous systems; if any prompt feels too challenging for you, you’re more than welcome to skip it.
This class is perfect for anyone prone to feeling “dysregulated”—stressed, anxious, irritable, worried, unstable, depressed, withdrawn. The goal is for you to start feeling more comfortably at home in your body.
You don’t need to have any previous experience with somatics—everyone is welcome! This is a very soft and gentle and nurturing time together.
